P2. Arane paced back and forth in the hall leading towards the castle entrance. She had her cloak draped around her, hood up over her french braided hair. Rain poured, but she stayed within the tunnel to keep dry. The world was grey, and with that, gloomy, which darkened Arane's mood further into a deep, dark pit.
She was angry, angry at herself, angry at the world for engaging her to a man she didn't like. Her hands were balled up in fists. She wanted to ride Saladin in the forest, but it had to rain on this day when she had just been engaged to someone she hardly knew.!1This is ridiculous.!1 She mumbled through her teeth.!1How could I marry such a man...!1She continued to pace threw anger and frustration, not knowing what to do.

P4 Gallius strolled up and down shelves of neatly aligned books, trying to seek a title that would uplift his mere depression. The King, however, was not intrigued by the names and phrases written on the spines.  !1Good gracious. There are millions of books and not one catches my interest!!1 The King growled, turning away from the books and sat himself at the fine table. A sigh escaped his mouth, and Gallius placed his head in his hands. !2What am I going to do? I cant marry such a thing.  I don't know her.!2

P2-P5. Arane decided she would go inside and try to sort things out indoors. She made her way inside, the heel of her boots echoing as she crossed the hall towards the stairs. There she paused, considering what on earth she could possibly want to do to make things less complicated between Gallius and her. She sighed.'I wonder what sort of game he's playing at' she thought,'He must really want the crown for his own purposes.' The thoughts only fueled her rage. Her golden gaze narrowed as she glared at the ground. As future Queen, she needed to be sure that he didn't get the crown, at least not so soon.

P4 Gallius became eerily silenced were the rhythmic sound of boots beat against the marble hall. Soon, the footsteps had become faint - probably heading upstairs. The gentleman instinctively rushed to his feet and followed the sound. P3 King assumed: !2That better be Arane, because no one is allowed inside the room without permission.!2 It was too late to see who or what had went upstairs, so Gallius followed silently behind. P5

P5. Arane trekked up the stairs at a leisure pace, but her hands were still in fists. She could think of no solution, but sleep. Maybe a nap would ease her emotions and take away the frustration.
P6. Of course, once she reached the hallway, she went to one of the long glass windows and stared out at the gloomy kingdom before her. Rain poured from the roof, down into the courtyard. Then she suddenly turned at an intuition that someone had followed her.'Gallius?' Her brow furrowed.!1Why are you stalking me?!1She demanded. Her golden gaze bore into the tall man. If anything, she wanted to hit him, tell him to go away. She kept her hood up, preferred to leave it that way so he wouldn't stare at her. The thought made her look away from him and back out the window as she waited for a reasonable, or otherwise no so reasonable, answer.

P4-
Victoria shuffled the books with her slender fingers. She traced the ends of the books with her thin fingernails. Now on the second floor, she checked that all of the books were facing the right direction: pages pointed towards the shelf, bindings pointed outwards towards the library visitors.

She watched as the King left the library and she brushed her blonde hair from out of her face. !2He looks troubled. Maybe I should comfort him?!2 she questioned herself. She was done with all the books anyway.

Victoria made her way down the stairs - her boots tapping the floor.

P5 - The woman ran up the staircase gracefully and stopped at the end. She heard voices. Arane and Gallius she expected. She listened in - heard the tension rising. Victoria didn't want to interrupt though. Just listen.

p5 Gallius strode up the stairs and paused midway of the staircase when a voice called out on him. It was Arane's, and as expected, she sounded furious towards him. Why are you stalking me? Her bared fists made the man put his hands out in front of him, bracing an attack if she attempted one. To his surprise, the Queen didn't, but Gallius was thankful too as he didn't want to put more tension between them. Ironically, she waited for him to answer. !1Pardon me. I thought you were someone else.!1 His voice was smooth, calming, and sincere. p6 After clambering up the last few steps, Gallius walked past Arane and glanced out the window. !1It's pretty bad out there, huh? I was planning on taking a stroll and greet some folks. I suppose that's cancelled.!1 Gallius spoke out loud not to anyone in specific, but then he turned to Arane. !1Y'know, we don't have to have a thing (romantic wise, in case you don't understand.) go on between us, but the least we can be is friends. For the sake of the kingdom.!1 Gallius looked back outside at the pouring rain. !1Maybe when this bad weather passes, we can take a little trip together around the kingdom..!1

P6. Arane waited as he explained. He past by her going down the hallway and for a while she though she would snap at him again, but his words made her remember something. 'For the sake of the kingdom'. She removed her hood, revealing a black braid trapped underneath her cloak.!1I know it's for the sake of the kingdom.!1She grumbled. 'Maybe when this bad weather passes, we can take a little trip together.' She thought about that considerably.Then she met his blue eyes with hers.!1Why did you come here?!1She was still firm, but less aggressive in her own way.

p6 Why did you come here? Gallius glanced in Arane's direction as movement caught his eye, and noticed that Arane had removed her hood. Her face was now visible, and that meant she trusted him a little. It gave him some relief and slight hope. !1I was sent here. Your government officials and my father agreed that I was a suitable King since there wasn't one selected by your father to take the throne. I didn't have a say in it, but..!1 A sigh escaped his mouth, and he looked away from Arane and bored his blue eyes into the outdoors. !1I don't know. I didn't fight against my father's order because I owe him. I want to show him that there is some good in me. Hopefully, if I can keep this kingdom thriving, maybe he'll be happy with me for the first time.!1

P6.'I was sent here. Your government officials and my father agreed that I was a suitable King since there wasn't one selected by your father to take the throne.' Arane looked at him. She had forgotten that part. He wasn't a good man, which gave her another excuse not to like him. When he looked away from her, she was glad, he wasn't staring.'He has some respect.' she thought.'I'll give him that.'Her eyes strayed to looking past him towards the room they were staying in, together. Nights were frustrating between them. But she couldn't think about that. She wanted to ride the winds back, feel the wind through her hair, ride Saladin to the ends of the world. She wanted out of the dress she was wearing and replace it with her warriors uniform.!1Perhaps some day you will pay him and then be on your way then?!1Arane did something she wouldn't have done in front of a complete stranger. She put her back against the window and slid to the floor, sighing.!1I never really thought about marriage. I always thought I would live the life of a warrior and serve the kingdom with my archery skills.!1She turned her head to look out the window over her shoulder.!1Now the dream of such a thing seems so far away.!1 She sounded soft, almost sad. She didn't look at him.

p6 Perhaps some day you will pay him and then be on your way then? !1Hopefully.!1 Gallius muttered to himself in agreement, but there was a good chance his father would not take him back in. Arsalan most likely didn't consider Gallius his son, anymore. The young price was sent away for good, and he'd never be able to return home. !1I really hope so.!1 This time more audible for Arane to hear. I never really thought about marriage. I always thought I would live the life of a warrior and serve the kingdom with my archery skills. Now the dream of such a thing seems so far away. Gallius glanced at her, sighed, then a frown pasted on his sad-stricken face. !1Cheer up, Arane. It's good to be talented in many area of skills..it makes you unique. Who would admire a Queen who can lead a kingdom and kick butt?!1 Gallius tried to pull a joke to uplift their spirits, but it wasn't a good time for that, so he stared outside and watched the rain clouds float across the dull sky. !1I'm sorry..!1 Gallius glanced down at her frame and sighed. !1I'm going to go to the chamber. You can come too, if you want, or maybe I'll see you later?!1 Gallius questioned/offered and waited for a response.

P6 Arane stared at the wall. She wanted to take Saladin from this prison and ride him in the forest where both felt free to do what they wanted. 'Cheer up, Arane. It's good to be talented in many area of skills..it makes you unique. Who would admire a Queen who can lead a kingdom and kick butt?' She chuckled.!1Very funny, Gallius.!1 The mood brightened, and then it sank. He was going to their room, but Arane thought of something better, so suddenly that she leaped to her feet, her lips pulled back in a smile. She clasped his arm and tugged.!1Let's go. If anything, I want to take a ride. Being stuck inside is so boring.!1She laughed as she led him to the stairs.
P5. Once there, she paused. A servant was there. How long, she didn't know. Arane's smiled faded in an instant as she looked as the girl.!1Is something wrong?!1She asked. She couldn't believe she had been so careless when this servant might have heard everything that was said.

P5 - She heard someone coming and so she panicked and looked at the ground awkwardly. Arane came over and asked her what was wrong. !2Oh goodness. Say something Victoria,!2 she searched for something to say. !1Oh, no nothing's wrong. I.. uh just wanted to clean the dining room. Didn't want to interrupt royalty.!1 Victoria silently let out a breath of relief and grinned, making her appear somewhat believable. !1Anything I can get you?!1 she inquired to break the silence. Victoria really did want to help - she also wanted to see what was going on between the two.

p6 Let's go. If anything, I want to take a ride. Being stuck inside is so boring. Before Gallius knew it, Arane intertwined her arm with his and was dragging him down the stair case. Gallius didn't mind being so close to Arane; he actually was starting to enjoy her company. Now that the tension between them lightened some, what could go wrong? !1That sounds like fun.!1 As they started their path down the stairs, a young adult stood. p5 Gallius mentally kicked himself for being so open and risking the ears of a stranger. His smile was replaced with a frown. Is something wrong? Arane asked the servant lady. The gal replied, Oh, no nothing's wrong. I.. uh just wanted to clean the dining room. Didn't want to interrupt royalty. Anything I can get you? The Prince's orbitals narrowed on the servant and wasn't sure if he bought her answer. !2She could use our conversation against us..!2 !1What's your name? How long ya been standing there?!1

P5-P8. Arane glanced from the servant to Gallius. She didn't want to delay. Gallius was already beginning conversation with the girl. Arane didn't get to know her servants. They did what they were told, but she was kind to them enough. She suddenly realized she had forgotten something. She shouldn't go out in the rain dressed in royal attire. Instead, she would change into something more fitting.!1Do excuse me please.!1She said as she backed up the stairs.!1I need to change first before we go. Ready the horses, won't you?!1She released Gallius and raced up the stairs to their room, there she began to change clothes.

P5 - Quickly, Victoria replied to Gallius, !1I am Victoria. And I haven't been here too long but everything I hear is totally confidential so no worries.!1 She placed her hand on her hip as she listened to the royal highness. !1Of course, your majesty.!1 She exited the stairs towards the stables.

P1 - Vicky's heels echoed through the garden as she walked on through. !2That was a close one,!2 she thought to herself while looking back to the entrance of the castle. She crouched down and picked up a few sticks. Victoria put her hair back and wrapped it around into a bun and pushed the sticks through her hair in all directions so the bun stayed in place.

P8.-P4. Arane had thought about going out for a ride, but instead she had fallen asleep on her bed, when?-she couldn't say. She arose from her bed and dressed in a black suit once she bathed. Then she braided her hair in a rope and tied it with elastic. She gazed at her appearance before nodding approvingly and went down stairs to find that the servant was long gone. Where Gallius was, she didn't know. As such, she went to see if the servant was still in the stables perhaps. But then she thought she would stop in the library and pick out a book, as she wanted to read out in the forest today.

She browsed the shelves and found a book on archory, a book she had read several times already and had no problem reading it a tenth time. She sat in a chair with a sigh and noticed she had forgotten her weapons in her room.
